2012 Feb 20

Carly Mercer of Exeter, Ontario (00000), a sophomore, forward, majoring in business studies, has helped to lead the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team to a 21-8-5 overall record and a third-place finish in ECAC Hockey with a 15-5-2 league slate.

The Golden Knights will host Quinnipiac University this weekend, February 24-26, at Cheel Arena in Potsdam, NY in a quarterfinal –round series (best-of-three) of the ECAC Hockey playoffs.

Clarkson, guided by co-head coaches Matt and Shannon Desrosiers, has reached the 20-win mark for the fourth time in the program's nine-year history and has qualified for the ECAC Hockey playoffs in each of its eight years of eligibility.

If Clarkson defeats Quinnipiac this weekend, the Knights will advance to the conference semifinals on March 2.
