Clarkson University Army ROTC Student James Papia Commissioned

The Army ROTC Golden Knight Battalion at Clarkson University recently commissioned James V. Papia from Revere, Mass. , a senior majoring in civil engineering, into the U.S. Army.

The ceremony included the swearing in of new officers, the pinning of their gold bars by family members, and the traditional first salute, known as the silver dollar salute.

The ceremony featured comments by Clarkson University President Tony Collins and guest speaker Air Force Lt. Gen. Ellen Pawlikowski.
