2014 Oct 8

Clarkson University CUPO (Community of Underrepresented Professional Opportunities) students recently participated in the 22nd annual statewide Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) Student Conference: Journeys Beyond Excellence.

Clarkson University student Richard Brown of New York, N.Y., studying mechanical engineering, served as a student ambassador at the conference.

The CSTEP Annual Statewide Conference, titled "Journeys Beyond Excellence," was designed to foster talented students' academic success in preparing for professional licensure or careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or the licensed professions. Since 1992, the conference has gathered the best and brightest CSTEP students to showcase their faculty supervised research experiences while offering professional and academic development workshops. Each year approximately 600 students and staff attend the conference from over 50 schools and colleges across the state of New York.
