Jenna L. Boss of Little Canada, Minn., a senior at Clarkson University majoring in communication and social sciences, received the following award(s) at the University Recognition Day ceremony during the spring semester:

Phalanx Inductee: Phalanx is Clarkson’s highest recognized honorary leadership society. It consists of a group of selected members of the Clarkson community who have demonstrated leadership skills and active participation in campus activities, along with above-average academic abilities, outstanding character and high morals. Phalanx inducts new members during University Recognition Day.

The Commendable Leadership Award for Seniors:This award is presented to juniors, seniors, graduate students, faculty, staff and administration members who have demonstrated outstanding leadership abilities and quality participation in organizations associated with Clarkson and the Potsdam community. The award recipients exhibit exceptional leadership qualities and the versatility to balance all aspects of college life. New Phalanx members are selected from the group of Commendable Leadership Award recipients.

The Communication and Media Senior Award:This award is given to an outstanding Communication senior. The recipient is presented with a commemorative plaque. The recipient’s name is also engraved on a plaque on permanent display in the Department of Communication & Media.
