Mark Julian of Wynantskill Graduates from Clarkson University Honors Program

Thirty Clarkson University students graduated with a University Honors Program Degree during commencement on May 12.

Mark Julian, a chemical engineering major, from Wynantskill, N.Y., was among one of the students receiving this honor. Julian graduated with great distinction and completed an honors thesis titled "Modeling the Interphase Mass Flux Between PCE and Aqueous Permanganate Solutions in the Presence of Surfactants." After Clarkson, Julian will be attending the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he will be pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering.

Clarkson's Honors Program is an intensive four-year curriculum built upon current and emerging problems in science, technology and society. The University admits a maximum of 40 new students to the Honors Program each year. All graduating students must complete an Honors Thesis, original research or scholarship of publishable quality, and the service requirement.
