Clarkson University Student Awarded $4,000 Environmental Scholarship
Potsdam, NY (10/20/2025) — Clarkson University environmental engineering student Rochelle Daniels has been awarded a $4,000 scholarship from the New York Water Environment Association.
Daniels, a native of Cambridge, N.Y., was recognized for her academic achievements and commitment to sustainability and water resources. At Clarkson, she has led research on sustainable community planning through the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Communities program in the Adirondack Park, working with local stakeholders on environmental initiatives.
She also participated in Clarkson's Adirondack Semester and studied abroad during the spring 2025 semester at the Technical University of Denmark, where she learned about environmental policy and water management in the European Union.
Daniels plans to pursue a career addressing water resources and sustainability challenges, with interests in graduate studies in water engineering or environmental law.
The New York Water Environment Association provides scholarships to support students preparing for careers in water quality management and environmental protection.
