Local Clarkson University Students in Construction Engineering Management Team Competition

Twelve Clarkson University students on the Construction Engineering Management (CEM) SPEED (Student Projects for Engineering Experience & Design) team competed in the 23rd annual Student Competition for the Associated Schools of Construction Region 1 in Morristown, N.J. Two teams traveled to the competition -- one to compete in the commercial building competition, and the other to compete in the heavy civil competition. Local Clarkson University Physician Assistant Students Honored in White Coat Ceremony

Clarkson University Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies students recently took part in the program's inaugural White Coat Ceremony. Seventeen physician assistant (PA) students were given the short white coat, which marks the student's transition from classroom studies to clinical studies, where they will begin to meet with patients. The Clarkson PA program is a 28-month course of study granting a master of science degree in physician assistant studies. The following local students received their white coats during the ceremony:

Local Residents Display Creativity at Clarkson University Digital Arts & Sciences Competition

Clarkson University's digital arts & sciences seniors exhibited their artwork at the school's third annual Digital Arts & Sciences Senior Exhibition which featured a variety of digital artwork, including 3D digital animations and 3D digital product design. This commencement weekend event showcased the graduating students' thesis projects in a screening-style exhibition. The following students participated in the exhibition:

Local Students Join 850 Other Undergraduates in Trip to State Capital

Local Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam students joined 850 students from across New York state in Albany in February. The students met with local legislators including State Senator Darrel (D -Cape Vincent) in the senate chamber. With the unpredictability of Albany these days, Senator Aubertine was called to session early and took the opportunity to meet with Clarkson's students in the Senate Chamber. There, the students were able to see the historic Chamber and have their photo taken with Senator Aubertine on the senate dais. The students on the trip were:

Local Clarkson University Student Has Work in Bistro Art Exhibit

'Translation,' an exhibition by students from Clarkson University's Digital Arts and Sciences program, will be on display at First Crush Wine Bistro on Market Street in downtown Potsdam, N.Y., until December 31. All works on view were produced during the Algorithmic and Interactive Art class and 3D Digital Design class.

Clarkson University Students Participate in the Adirondack Youth Climate Summit

The recent Adirondack Youth Climate Summit at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake, N.Y., provided an opportunity for four Clarkson University students to increase their awareness of climate change causes, solutions and implications, especially as it relates to the Clarkson campus. The summit drew high school and college students from around the region to discuss and plan ways to incorporate energy efficiency, recycling and local food resources into their lives and campuses. Local Clarkson University Students Expand the Boundaries of Research

Clarkson University McNair scholars recently had the opportunity to expand their boundaries beyond Clarkson's campus and enrich their research experiences through The Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program The students were able to widen their networking experiences and enhance their graduate school preparation by working at a variety of research institutions across the eastern United States.

Local Clarkson University Army ROTC Cadets Travel to D.C. for Army 10-Miler

The Clarkson University Army ROTC running club journeyed to the nation's capital in October, for the third year in a row, to participate in the 25th anniversary Army 10-Miler.
