Clarkson University

In its 11th year as a Division I program, Clarkson University's Women's Hockey team finished off a 31-5-5 overall record with a 5-4 victory over two-time defending national champion Minnesota in the NCAA Championship game on March 23. The Knights became the first non-Western team to win the championship since the Women's Frozen Four inception in 2001.

Clarkson University's volleyball team will be competing in the NCAA Division III Volleyball Quarterfinals this weekend at Hope College in Holland, Mich. Of the well over 400 NCAA Division III volleyball programs in the country, only eight remain in the hunt for a national championship, and for the first time ever Clarkson University is among the ultimate elite challenging for the title. The following students have helped to lead the Clarkson University Women's Hockey team to a 21-8-5 overall record and a third-place finish in ECAC Hockey with a 15-5-2 league slate.

The following local student-athletes were top performers for the Clarkson University Nordic Ski team this winter and helped to lead the Golden Knights to 2012 National Title at the United States Collegiate Ski Association (USCSA) Championships in Sunday River, Maine on March 5-11.
