Three Clarkson University CUPO (Community of Underrepresented Professional Opportunities) students recently received awards at the 22nd annual statewide Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) Student Conference: Journeys Beyond Excellence.

The Clarkson University Chem-E Car team recently competed at the 2014 American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Northeast Student Regional Conference, where they qualified for the national competition.

Students received awards at the annual University Recognition Day ceremony.

Graduating senior Pinguang Yang of Brooklyn, N.Y. received the Frederica Clarkson Award during Clarkson University's 121st commencement ceremony. He was selected for the $1,000 award by a vote of the full University faculty based on his scholarship and promise of outstanding achievement.

In its 11th year as a Division I program, Clarkson University's Women's Hockey team finished off a 31-5-5 overall record with a 5-4 victory over two-time defending national champion Minnesota in the NCAA Championship game on March 23. The Knights became the first non-Western team to win the championship since the Women's Frozen Four inception in 2001.

Buffalo doesn't usually make the list of spring break destinations, but then again, we're talking about Clarkson University students who chose to help Habitat for Humanity through its Collegiate Challenge program, rather than celebrate at a vacation hotspot.

Clarkson University student-run business Renoun Ski Company won the "People's Choice" award at the fourth annual New York State Business Plan Competition held at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering of the University at Albany. Renoun is designing a ski to adapt instantly to snow conditions using a patent-pending technology and principals of aircraft design.
